My word for 2026 is “building”. Every Thanksgiving, my mom asks our family what word we want to choose that will define our upcoming year. It helps us frame what we’d like to accomplish or aspire to become in the new year. This year, I chose “building” for a host of reasons, but primarily to hold myself accountable for building out this Coaching business, Claraddie.

It’s been a passion project of mine for the last two years and I recently learned from my own Coaching session that I should stop labeling it a passion project. Because, well, it will forever be seen as a passion project - and I don’t want that. I want to build this business out to be something extraordinary. A living, breathing, beautiful beast of a world that I can hopefully service clients across many industries to get to know themselves better, tackle tough problems at work, and move through the world in a way they are proud of. I know it will take time (patience is not my strong suit), but I’d like to start stating this outloud to others out there so it’s not just swirling in my head. This blogpost is for just that.

I’ll be sharing common themes I see in my Coaching practice with clients, and chewing on some ideas that I haven’t yet fully swallowed. If you enjoy the read or think others may too, please share. If there is anything I have learned in this journey thus far is that we have a lot more in common with one another than not. Coaching is to help others grow, myself included.
